Distance 52 km (cum. 7,678 km); Ascent 658 m (cum. 56,160 m). Arrived to the proximity of the Sajama National Park with the highest mountain in Bolivia - the impressive volcano Sajama! This was another day of painful ride on bad roads, facing strong wind, pushing the bicycle through the sand... I climbed to 4,350 m and later descended... I cannot understand how these cyclists from the website grade these routes as easy! This week on Bolivian roads was the most tough experience, which was probably related to high altitude and the extremely poor state of the local roads!
