Distance 107 km (cum. 6,709 km); Ascent 883 m (cum. 49,539 m). Cycling was good today despite hilly terrain and heat. I was not sure whether it's better to continue on the road to Salta without guarantee of decent accommodation, or to go a little on the side, to the town General Güemes, where I could probably find something... I decided to continue and camp on the side of the road, to get to Salta early next day! Staying in my tent, some 20 meters from the road, made me realize how loud is the road and how this has to influence the nature... Because of this constant wall of noise, the small animals cannot hear each other... The lights from the cars are also disturbing the natural cycle of the nature...
