Distance 84 km (cum. 9,734 km); Ascent 1,170 m (cum. 79,944 m). Since I arrived in Ayacucho, for about 10 days, I'm staying mostly at the altitude between 2,500 and 3,000. I actually enjoy it a lot! There is no mosquitoes or other blood-sucking insects, and it's not as freezing as at higher altitudes... The climate is actually perfect here - not too hot and not too cold. I guess it's related to the fact that I approach the equator, at the same time being at high altitude during winter time :)
