Tick-borne encephalitis outbreak in Hungary due to consumption of raw goat milk

I was invited to contribute to this publication due to my collaboration with virologists and epidemiologists at the Hungarian surveillance institute. I did not participate in this TBE milkborne outbreak investigation, only in the interpretation of results. Surprisingly, this paper was highly-cited in the following decade... I guess milk-borne transmission is studied intensively and laboratory methods for this purpose are still challenging.
