Smallpox - historical or real threat?

A review paper describing scenarios of deliberate or incidental release of the smallpox virus from high security laboratories. It was a hot topic at the time, when the world was afraid of bioterrorist attacks. I prepared the paper with my line manager prof. Andrzej Zieliński, related to our participation in the Congress of the Polish Society of Epidemiologists and Infectious Disease Physicians. It was an interesting experience for me, since I could review various papers describing scenarios and simulations, taking various assumptions and using a bit of imagination :)
