Ongoing outbreak of rubella among young male adults in Poland: increased risk of congenital rubella infections

A simple report of a massive rubella epidemic among young males in Poland. It was not a success story, because we have foreseen this outbreak based on immunization programme history and surveillance data. We received support from WHO experts and together, we were advocating for catch-up vaccination of young adults for many years.
