Distance 87 km (cum. 7,524 km); Ascent 186 m (cum. 54,865 m). Arrived to Sabaya, the end of the tour of the 'salars'. Today I crossed the Salar de Coipasa. This 4-day route was described on the website www.andesbybike.com as easy to cycle. I did not found it so easy, due to the frequent heavy winds and extremely bad roads. Nevertheless, I'm happy I came here as these salt lake are a unique environment, something pure and deadly, as nothing can survive there. I did not see any animals or even insects. When they are filled with water, no fish or other animals can survive due to the heavy concentration of salt. Also, I saw only few cars on the road during the last 3 days. This makes worthy the pain of cycling the side roads :)
