Perinatal infections

I was approached by prof. Tomasz Niemiec who was designated chief editor of the first report on women reproductive health on behalf of UNFPA. This report raised a lot of issues which were not often discussed openly in public. In the chapter on perinatal infections we highlighted poor surveillance and limited access to diagnosis of perinatal infections. I prepared most of the text and illustrations, and prof. Niemiec placed himself as first author, which was a bit strange, however could be justified by his role. Nevertheless, I was quite happy I could take part in this historic work :)
