Poster (in English) presented at the International Conference on Emerging Infectious Diseases (ICEID 2004)
During my MS studies at the New York State University, I received the opportunity to participate in the renowned ICEID conference, organised every two years by the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta. This conference brings hundreds of field epidemiologists from all around the world. I submitted two abstracts and both were accepted, which was surprising for my mentors. In this contribution we proposed case defitions for tick-borne encephalitis and classified TBE cases registred in Poland during 4 years, using these new proposed case definitions. This investigation was soon published in the journal Eurosurveillance.
