Poster (in English) presented at the Meeting of European Monitoring Group on Meningococci (EMGM 2007)

A very interesting analysis, not published elsewhere! Together with two students of the medical faculty Olga and Julia, we reviewed the medical documentation of all meningogoccal meningitis cases reported to surveillance in 1999-2005 and we listed out all administered antibiotics. We compared the prescribed antibiotics with the national guidelines for treatment of bacterial meningitis. We found that 98% of cases received recommended regimens, but 40% received antibiotics in addition (possibly for extra precaution). Olga received the award for best poster :)
